Going solar in Wolffdene
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben.
Logan mixes established family suburbs, fast-growing estates like Yarrabilba and Park Ridge, and acreage around Jimboomba and Greenbank. Big households and big air conditioning loads make solar and batteries pay back quickly here.
Wolffdene is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Plenty of Wolffdene properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Wolffdene: history and local area
Classes began around 1874 in a church under the name Belivah Provisional School. In March 1892 locals built their own Wolffdene school, with the government chipping in 37 pounds. It became a state school in 1909, closed in 1935, reopened in 1939 and shut for good in 1942. The area made headlines in 1989 when the Goss Government knocked back a proposed Wolffdene Dam on the Albert River.
Wolffdene is a rural locality home to just 266 people spread over 11.1 square kilometres. The Albert River runs along the eastern boundary, and Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road cuts through. It lies about 7.8 kilometres south of Beenleigh. There are no schools today, so children head north to Mount Warren Park or Bahrs Scrub, or south to Cedar Creek.
Rural properties along the Albert River often have open paddocks for a ground-mounted array, and with only a few hundred residents spread over the locality, battery backup is worth considering for keeping essentials running during outages.
