Solar Panels Kenmore Hills: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Kenmore Hills system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Kenmore Hills makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Kenmore Hills is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. We look after Kenmore Hills and the surrounding suburbs of Chapel Hill, Kenmore and Brookfield, so a free on-site measure in 4069 is easy to book.

About Kenmore Hills

Formerly part of Brookfield, the area took the Kenmore Hills name in 1969. A house on Brookfield Road became a home for aged men in 1932, and two years later St Christopher's Lodge opened as a farm school for boys, running until about 1959. The site later became a Franciscan friary, and the Uniting Church bought it in 2019 on condition the community keeps access.

The northern half climbs into the foothills of Mount Coot-tha, while Carver Hill, at 70 metres, is the named peak in the south-east. Roughly 2,450 people live here, about 13 km by road from the city. There are no schools inside the suburb, so families use Chapel Hill, Kenmore or Brookfield. The heritage-listed Old Friary, whose main building dates from 1890, is the local landmark.

How much does solar cost in Kenmore Hills?

Most Kenmore Hills homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Kenmore Hills?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Kenmore Hills?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Kenmore Hills 4069 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Kenmore Hills is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Chapel Hill, Kenmore, Brookfield, Jindalee. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
