Going solar in Clagiraba
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Clagiraba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Plenty of Clagiraba properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Clagiraba: history and local area
Clagiraba takes its name from Clagiraba Creek, which flows into the Coomera River. The creek name is said to come from an Indigenous name, Kalagareebah, linked to a ground used by young men. Little else of the early story is recorded, but the locality has stayed rural, home to 651 people at the 2021 census.
Out in the Gold Coast hinterland between Mount Nathan and Witheren, Clagiraba takes in the southern end of Tamborine Mountain and part of the Lower Beechmont Conservation Area. Clagiraba Creek and Coolbunbin Creek run through the district. There are about 11 parks and reserves, including Mango Tree Park and Freeman Family Park, and the rural fire brigade has its station on Clagiraba Road.
Hilly hinterland blocks near conservation bushland can be shaded by slopes and tall trees, so careful site assessment matters, and a battery for backup is worth weighing up on properties far from the nearest town.
