Going solar in Highland Park
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Highland Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Highland Park: history and local area
The local primary school was named for William Duncan, an early settler who worked as a timber-getter in the district. Before that choice was made, the name Boorajing, an Aboriginal word meaning windy place, had been put forward. William Duncan State School took its first students on 27 January 1987 and was formally opened later that year, on 31 October 1987.
Highland Park is a compact residential suburb of 3.9 km², sitting about 5.5 km south of Nerang. Around 6,600 people lived here in 2021. William Duncan State School runs Prep to Year 6 with a special education program, and older students travel to Nerang State High School. Spencers Seafood trades on Hinkler Drive.
In a compact residential suburb like Highland Park, family homes often use little power while everyone is at school or work and much more at night, which is where a battery can earn its keep.
