Going solar in Nerang
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Nerang is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Nerang: history and local area
Martin Lavelle surveyed the township in June 1865, land went on sale in 1871 and Cobb and Co coaches began running from Brisbane the same year. Red cedar cutting was the first big earner, followed by dairying and maize. The old South Coast railway arrived in 1887 and closed in 1964, the motorway bypassed the town centre in 1979, and trains returned on the Gold Coast line in 1997.
Named for the river that winds through it, Nerang has a small town centre with banks and shops, several shopping centres and light industrial parks full of trades and workshops. City of Gold Coast administration offices are here too. Sport is a big part of local life, with a velodrome, a council pool complex, Robert Dalley Park for the Bulls rugby union club and the Nerang Roosters in league.
Nerang's mix of established homes and light industrial workshops means solar can work two ways: daytime-heavy businesses using power as it is made, and households adding a battery to cover the evening peak.
