Going solar in Durack
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Durack is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Durack: history and local area
Serviceton State School opened its doors in January 1959 to 252 students, well before the suburb had its current name. That came in 1976 through a local newspaper competition, which settled on Michael Durack, a landholder on the old Archerfield pastoral station. Population has kept climbing since, from about 6,200 in 2011 to nearly 7,800 by 2021.
The Oxley Creek corridor gives Durack the main entry to the 150 hectare Archerfield Wetlands, with playgrounds, barbecues and trails for walking and riding. Archerfield Airport sits on the far side of the wetlands. The Phap Quang Temple is a local landmark. Schools cover every age, from Durack State School to Glenala State High and the Australian International Islamic College, and the 100 BUZ bus runs to the city.
Homes near the Oxley Creek wetlands often enjoy open, unshaded roofs, but owners close to the creek corridor should think about flood levels when deciding where a battery and inverter are mounted.
