Going solar in Richlands
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Richlands is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Richlands: history and local area
Small farms from the Richland Estate went on sale in 1928 and 1929, and the name stuck. Early families kept dairy cows and poultry, produced honey and grew table grapes. Richlands stayed part of Darra until it became its own suburb in 1975. A drive in theatre ran from the late 1970s to December 2000, while the state primary and high schools have both since closed.
Industry fills the north and west, homes take up the east and south, and a few patches of farmland survive. The Centenary Motorway and Springfield rail line both pass through, with Ric Nattrass Creek flowing north west. Richlands Plaza and Progress Corner handle shopping. Sport is well covered by CJ Greenfield Park, Queensland Lions FC, a pony club and the West Brisbane Tennis Centre.
A mix of homes and industrial sheds means everything from household rooftop systems to large commercial arrays makes sense here, with factory roofs well suited to matching daytime production with business hours.
