Going solar in Inala
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Inala is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Inala: history and local area
Returned servicemen met at a Brisbane RSL hall in May 1946 and set in motion a new settlement called Serviceton, on land once known as Boylands Pocket. The Queensland Housing Commission bought the ground in 1949 and 1950. On 10 January 1952 the Surveyor-General gave it the name Inala, from a Bundjalung word meaning resting time or night time. Inala State School followed in 1955 and the library in 1963.
The suburb sits on a broad, gently sloping ridge about 22 km south west of the city by road. Inala Plaza and the civic centre form the main hub, backed up by the Biota Street shops and a bus station, with Richlands train station roughly 3 km off. Kev Hooper Park, a skate park and a TAFE campus round things out. Many early homes were built from reinforced concrete on raised foundations.
Inala's post war Housing Commission homes sit on a broad, gently sloping ridge with few hills to cast shade, so even a compact system can cover a good share of daytime use.
