Going solar in Kedron
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Kedron is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Kedron: history and local area
German missionaries arriving in 1838 named the local creek after the Kidron Valley near Jerusalem, and the suburb took its name from Kedron Brook. Land sales began in 1857. In 1868 a bridge over the brook opened the route north that became Gympie Road, used by gold seekers. Trams arrived in 1914, the state school opened in 1926 and Kedron State High in 1956.
Gympie Road and Kedron Brook are the spine of this inner-northern suburb, about 11 kilometres from the city. It is a strong school area, with Padua College, Mount Alvernia, St Anthony's and two state schools. The Edinburgh Castle and Kedron Park hotels are local institutions, and the SES occupies the old teachers college site. Westfield Chermside is just over the border.
Estates subdivided in the 1920s left a mix of older houses and flats, so a quick roof check sorts out whether a home suits a full array or a smaller system sized to daytime use.
