Going solar in Larapinta
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Larapinta is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Larapinta: history and local area
Larapinta was established in 1970 as part of Brisbane's push to open up new industrial land on the southern fringe. Its name means flowing water, a nod to Oxley Creek on its northern and western sides. Sand mining over the years has even shifted the main course of the creek.
Nobody, or very close to nobody, was counted living here in 2021, because Larapinta is industrial land rather than housing. The Logan Motorway slices across it east to west, the Sydney to Brisbane rail corridor marks the eastern edge and Oxley Creek wraps the north and west. To the south lies the Glider Forest Conservation Area. The CBD is about 23 km away.
Because the suburb is industrial, large factory and warehouse roofs are the main solar opportunity, where daytime operating hours line up well with peak generation and commercial scale arrays can cut demand charges.
