Going solar in Heathwood
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Heathwood is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Heathwood: history and local area
Heathwood was carved out of Acacia Ridge and became a suburb in its own right in 1970, although some records list 1975 as its start. The name honours an early settler of the district. Since then the area has developed along two separate tracks, with houses going up in the north and industry taking hold in the south west.
The Logan Motorway cuts the suburb in two. North of it are streets of homes, the south west is an industrial estate where Asahi Beverages operates, and the south east is still undeveloped. Oxley Creek runs along the south western boundary. Two bus routes serve the area, with trains from nearby Richlands. Pallara State School sits on the boundary for younger kids.
The residential north has many newly built large homes, where roofs are usually unshaded and big summer air conditioning loads make solar paired with a battery a practical fit.
