Going solar in Gumdale
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Gumdale is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Gumdale: history and local area
First called Grassdale after the grass trees growing in the area, the district was opened up when the Grassdale Land Company auctioned 42 lots in 1885. A state school followed in 1935 and a public hall in 1937. Plans for a post office in 1942 forced a name change to Gumdale, to avoid confusion with Grassdale in South Australia.
Roughly 95 per cent of Gumdale is acreage, with lots commonly 5,000 to 10,000 square metres, and only a small slice set aside for new development. It is an outer suburb about 17.7 km east south east of the CBD. Gumdale State School offers Prep to Year 6 with a special education program, and Eastside Village shopping centre now stands where St Francis' Anglican Church used to be.
Half acre to full acre lots leave room for ground mounted arrays, sheds with their own panels and big batteries, which suits households running pools, pumps and workshops on their acreage.
