Dakabin is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Newer homes in Dakabin usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Dakabin: history and local area
Dakabin's name is drawn from a Yugarabul word for the grass tree. The year 1978 was a big one: Dakabin State High School opened in January, and Northpine Christian College moved here in March after a fire at its old Zillmere site. Older locals will also remember Alma Park Zoo, which ran here from 1969 until it relocated to The Big Pineapple in 2014.
A compact suburb of under 6 square kilometres, Dakabin is squeezed between the North Coast railway on the west and the Bruce Highway on the east. Trains from the local station run to Brisbane, Ipswich, Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast. Weekend sport centres on Bob Brock Park, which has two cricket ovals and three soccer pitches used by North Pine United. The city is about 34 km south.
Dakabin's station puts commuters on a direct line to the city, and for households that are out during the day, a battery helps move midday solar generation into the evening peak.
